Connect your network to ours to deliver voice, data or internet traffic
The ability to connect networks is the essence of a competitive telecommunications industry. End-users on one network have to be able to connect to other networks to deliver voice, data or internet traffic. Interconnection is suitable for service providers who have high traffic volumes, and who have (or who are prepared to add) network infrastructure.
Interconnection is a negotiated contract between Telecom Wholesale and the service provider.
Voice interconnection services connect Telecom's Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTNs), both fixed and mobile, to other service providers' networks - allowing calls to be exchanged.
Local Peering allows service providers to interconnect with the Telecom network to enable the exchange of internet traffic within New Zealand between their end-users and Telecom Broadband customers.
